Unlike bitter synthetic, imitation or "Vanilla Flavor" extracts, our pure extract from Madagascar Vanilla beans has a rich perfumed aroma, amber color and clean, fresh flavor that is achieved naturally, without artificial colors, stabilizers, corn syrup, caramel or sugars.
Essential for baking, our pure, smooth vanilla extract also adds new taste dimensions to soups, salads, vegetables as well as beef, chicken, and fish dishes. Our extract is made from the freshest Pure Madagascar beans, considered by many connoisseurs to be the overall best in the world.
The higher the alcohol content when drawing out the vanilla, the better the quality. The majority of your finer pure vanilla extracts will use a 40% alcohol. Ours currently is also at 40% like so many others, however, we are not using vodka like they do.
We use more beans to give you a better overall extract. We also don't use a bitter alcohol such as vodka. A 1995 study showed that 10% more vanillin was extracted at 47.5% ethanol than 95% ethanol. We are working to get this.
